  13. I am considering buying an HP DeskJet 850C colour printer to be used
  14. with an Amiga and Emplant and am wondering about printer drivers on
  15. the Amiga side.

  17. I am looking for any information or experience people have with
  18. respect to using the HP 850C printer with older HP printer
  19. drivers. For some years I have happily used Post to print postscript
  20. output, mostly from PageStream, to a DeskJet 500. I would like to
  21. retain this option to use Post, mostly because of the fonts I seem
  22. to use and the compatability with output from other postscript
  23. printers at work.

  25. Will an HP 850C except the output from Postlj and print b&w 300 dpi
  26. pages correctly? (I think I use Postlj rather than Postdj because I
  27. found it easier to set the page postioning long ago)

  29. Will an HP 850C except the output from something like the PageStream3
  30. HP DeskJet 660C driver and print reasonable 300 dpi colour?

  32. At this stage I am not worried on the Amiga side about the better
  33. ColourSmart software that HP provide for Compatibles and Macs. I will
  34. obviously make use of the HP drivers on the Emplant side.
